How can my organization add endorsements (statements of support, opposition, or information only) so voters can find our opinions on We Vote?

You can enter your own endorsements into We Vote, or submit a link to your endorsements in any digital format (see “2. Submitting Link to Your Endorsements” below).

1. Entering Your Endorsements

To start, please sign in at https://WeVote.US/ballot with your organization's Twitter account: 

Once you are signed in, you can change or add endorsements for any election. Click the top right header icon (with your logo or photo) and navigate to “Your Endorsements.”

From here, either create a new voter guide by clicking “Choose New Election” or click on the election name to edit one of the existing voting guides already there.

On the "Add Endorsements" tab, click the button with the check mark to show support for a candidate or ballot measure, or the circle-backslash button to show your opposition.

The bubbles for “Friends Only” and “Public” determine whether your positions will be visible to your We Vote Friends only (people who have signed into We Vote and gone through the friend verification process with you), or to the general public. If you want to share your opinions widely, we recommend the "Public" option.

The “Endorsed or Opposed” tab at the top allows you to edit existing endorsements and comments.

Voters will be able to view your endorsements when they Follow your organization, or from your organization’s page, which is at “https://WeVote.US/” plus your organization’s Twitter handle. For example: https://WeVote.US/SierraClub

If you would like to preview your endorsements page/Voter Guide, scroll to the bottom of the page and find the “See Preview” button.

2. Submitting Link to Your Endorsements

Alternately, you can send us your endorsements in other formats. Once we receive your endorsements in any of these ways, our political data volunteers will strive to add them within 24-48 hours.

1. Submit a link to the endorsements on your website. 
2. Share a Google Sheet (or Excel Spreadsheet) with these columns: CandidateName, Support or Oppose, EndorsementText, FurtherInfoLink, TwitterHandle of endorsing organization
   Email us via Data@WeVoteEducation.org
3. Forward an email describing your endorsements to Data@WeVoteEducation.org
4. Email a document with your endorsements (Google Doc, PDF, MS Word) to Data@WeVoteEducation.org
